Big Spring Facilities

Attractive, well-maintained grounds at the camps blend with aspen groves, native wildflowers and magnificent mountain views to create a unique natural setting. At Big Spring, five boys and a counselor live in a permanent platform tent or in one of our new yurts. Modern shower houses are located nearby.

The Big Spring Lodge is an historic log building which houses the kitchen and dining hall. The camps are well-known for their good food which includes fresh bread and delicious desserts homemade in the camps’ bakery.

Other Big Spring facilities include a new theater/program center, a crafts building, tennis courts, a heated swimming pool and fields for sports of all types. The barn, stables and riding arena provide headquarters for the horseback riding program. The infirmary is staffed by registered nurses who work closely with doctors in Woodland Park and Colorado Springs to provide excellent medical attention.

Alex and Robert loved their camp experiences this summer. I want to compliment you and your staff for outstanding communication. The letters received were fabulous and beyond expectations. Thank you for an exceptional summer.
