May Parent Update #4

The following information was part of an important email that was sent to camp parents on May 17th, 2021. Included in the email to individual families was a list of currently submitted, unsubmitted (missing), and incomplete forms. Please refer to your Camp InTouch account or to the email you received on May 17th for a list of your outstanding forms.

Hello from Florissant! Many of our staff arrive in less than a week and that will be the official kick off of Summer 2021!

We need to have all tuition and camper expenses paid and all forms complete prior to the arrival of our 2021 staff, as those forms contain essential information for our travel coordinators, medical staff, and counseling teams. You can see which forms are missing by logging into your Camp InTouch account and clicking on the “Forms & Documents” tab.

We know there are campers who are still waiting on physicals and cannot complete the Physician’s Exam, Colorado Immunization form and any other forms requiring a doctor’s signature. After your camper’s appointment, please complete those forms as soon as possible–they can be uploaded using the Campanion App or by scanning and uploading the form directly into the account.

Thank you to everyone who has completed their camper’s forms–and to the families that have two or three children–BRAVO!

Final Tuition and Camper Expense payment was due on May 15th, 2021. If you have not done so already, please login to your Camp InTouch account, navigate to the Financial Management page, and remit payment via credit card or eCheck. You may also mail us a final payment via check to: Sanborn Western Camps PO Box 167 Florissant, CO 80816

If you have additional questions regarding your account, please email or call Melanie Hancock at 719-748-3341 or mel@sanbornwesterncamps.com

We have recently had questions regarding mask wearing at camp because of the changes in CDC regulations for vaccinated individuals. As many in our population are not eligible for the vaccine, we will still utilize our Camp Health & Wellness forecast to help us determine who and when masks are required.

Vaccination certainly DOES provide us with more flexibility and possibility, so if your camper is eligible to receive the vaccine, we highly encourage it. Please note, unless your child has received his/her second dose of the Pfizer vaccine on or before May 30th, 2021–we will still need him/her to arrive with/upload the results of a negative PCR test obtained 3-4 days (72 hours is ideal) before Opening Day.

We will send out another email later in the week regarding our final testing procedure and process and we will be shooting a video of our Opening Day arrival process next week (the staff are excited for their camp video debuts).

Thank you for your attention to these important forms and updates. Please call 719-748-3341 or email us if you have additional questions.
